Today, 11/27, we did our usual Thursday walk, and it was a good day for
ducks, with 11 species: (M=male, F=female, P=pair, x=exact count)

Northern Shoveller MFP (2x)
Mallard MFP (20)
Gadwall MFP (40)
Lesser Scaup MF (12)
Ring-necked Duck M (1)
Canvasback (1x) Seen from the lake
platform
! REDHEAD M (1x) Seen from the lake
platform
Bufflehead MF (40)
Hooded Merganser MF (2x)
Common Merganser MFP (2x)
Ruddy Duck (1x) Swam along with up the
slough

There may have been Greater Scaup too, but I wasn't positive.

Away from the water things were pretty quiet, except for one great flock of
Bewick's Wren, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, B.C. Chickadee,
Fox Sparrow, Spotted Towhee, and BROWN CREEPER, which we found at the east
end of the boardwalk.

Also seen was an immature Bald Eagle. All told, we had 38 species.
