About a year or so ago I saw the exact same phenomenon on a crow frequenting the
area around my office. Kinda neat to see how long the bird remains in the area and
what habits it adapts. If memory serves, the bird I was watching stuck around for a
month or so. I haven't observed it since.

I, too, thought at first it was the reflectiveness of the wing.
