Dear tweets:
I spent the morning at the Point-No-Point lighthouse watching whatever sped
by over the choppy sea. It was great! Saw no less than 5 Parasitic Jaegers,
only one of which was a juvenile. Most were harassing the hundreds of
Bonaparte's Gulls feeding in the tidal rip. Good numbers of Heermann's Gull,
Common Murre, Red-necked Phalarope, loons and scoters. One Ancient Murrelet
spent a fifteen minute period feeding just of shore (seems early for this
species?), but curiously Rino Auklets were absent (three at the Edmonds side
of the ferry route made up the sum total for the morning) .

Rounding out the morning were two more Parasitic Jaegers sitting on the water
at the Kingston Ferry dock. If you haven't caught up with this species, now
may be a good time... Good Birding!
