Hi Tweets,

I GOT A SCOPE!
So we went out late afternoon (Me, Yuriko, Rex & Gail Kenner)
and had a quick look around the ponds at Iona.
The weather was just dry, but still windy, and fist thing to notice \were
the many skeins of Snow Geese coming from the north, 7 to 30
at a time. Then, when we stood between the ponds, we got great looks
at 2 Peregrines - presumably the 2 mentioned by Michael Price before
(a big darkish female; a smaller male with silvery back), flying,
hunting, chasing a Cooper's Hawk, sitting side by side in a cottonwood
at the NW corner. Dowitchers sp. were the only shorebirds we saw on
the ponds, and they sat it out.
