Brian and tweeters,

I visited 3 Crabs at 3 PM on Sunday, but there were no shorebirds at all
at the horse pond. This is not unusual, as they move back and forth to
the intertidal or other pastures nearby. The Sharp-tailed last year
moved to and from the pond over several days, so who knows?

But there are lots of other nice birds around to view around here.
Pelicans (25 today: 18 imm and 7 ad) are roosting and feeding in
Dungeness Bay between Cline and Dungeness Spits, visible from the
Dungeness Oysterhouse. There are at least 3 Eurasian Wigeons in the
giant wigeon flock off 3 Crabs restaurant. And a dead Hermit Thrush was
lying in the restaurant parking lot -- go figure!
