The juv. Sharp-tailed Sandpiper at the 3 Crabs "horse pond" could not be
relocated today during an in-
tensive search of the area from 8:30-1:30pm by several observers. Notable
species that were observed
included the following:

1 Am. Bittern
2 Peregrine Falcons
1 Merlin
1 Cooper's Hawk
30+ L.B. Dowitchers
4 Pectoral Sandpipers
13 L. Sandpipers
3 W. Sandpipers
13 Dunlin
4 Sanderlings
40+ C. Snipe
2 B.B. Plovers
58 Gr. W.F. Geese(flying)
5 V.G. Swallows
8 L. Longspurs

My mother and I birded Ft. Flagler S.P. and observed 1 Pac. and 1 Am.
Golden Plover in a flock of
33 B.B. Plovers on the large field west of the camping area. Other species
at this location included:

60+ Pac. Loons
good numbers of Common Terns, Boneaparte's Gulls, and Heermann's Gulls
4 Surfbirds
25 Black Turnstones
152 Sanderlings
1 Pec. Sandpiper
