I had a chance to go up and check for the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper at
Dungeness. I visited the horse pond down the road from the 3 Crabs on
Monday and at 7:30AM located the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper with some
Long-billed Dowitchers. I had great views of this attractive juvenile. On
my way home today I checked the mud flats in Tokeland and found 2
Long-billed Curlews and 2 Pacific Golden-Plovers. Also, walked the dike
at the Lewis Unit of the Willapa NWR and saw a Trumpeter Swan and 7 Lapland
Longspurs.
