While looking out the window this afternoon at all the American Robins
gobbling mountain ash berries, dreaming wistfully of Dusky Thrushes, a juv
Western Tanager flew in to join them. Pretty late (Avg Vcr BC depart Sep
24), but there seems each year to be enough 'late' birds regionally to make
me wonder if that's its lateness is a preconception, and that Week 1 or 2
Oct is the *actual* usual leaving time for the very last of the them.
