Amazingly, no rain this morning! Over 40 species seen by myself and Brian
Bell, in a very nice morning of birding.

The highlight was a juvenile NORTHERN SHRIKE just west of the RC model
airplane park. It looked just like the picture of the "juvenile" (not the
"immature") in the NGS guide - very definite rusty-orange tones to the
plumage. This is our earliest Marymoor shrike sighting by quite a bit -
previously, we had not seen shrike before November.

The American Pipits were there again, this time in the field being mowed just
east of the grass soccer fields. I believe there were around 30, though
counting was very difficult.

Other notables:
Western Grebe One at the weir! A dozen more on the lake.
Bald Eagle ADULT at the nest ?!? Why, I don't know.
Common Yellowthroat Male - late sighting.
Lincoln's Sparrow At least 4 in the Pea Patch
