Hello.......I have an abundance of Northern Cardinals (as does the rest of
the Southeast). They are a beautiful sight in my yard (muti bright and pale
reds from Male/female/juvenile plumages). I've never noticed them being a
nuisence bird, please tell me they are not. They mainly forge on the ground
with an occasional trip to the feeders. I try to make sure some sunflower
seed is thrown to them on the ground. They seem to stay busy there without
giving the other birds a second thought. But of course they do hog the
birdbaths sometimes, seems they enjoy a family splash together, and what a
fun sight that is!
