I'm sorry about not being able to give you directions here, but the
Snohomish County Parks department has the listing, as to my understanding.

Directions to Portage Wildlife Sanctuary

On I-5, take exit 208 (this is Arlington/Silvana area)

Take SR 530 eastward a 1/4 mile until the first turn-off on the right. Turn
(right) to Smokey Pt. Blvd.

Proceed down Smokey Pt. Blvd. for about a 1/2 mile, where you take a left
on Cemetary Rd. (In case the sign doesn't say Cemetary Rd., this is the
road in the middle of a huge farm field area...) Take this left (you're
going east now).

Proceed along this road (eastwards), admiring the scenic dairy view for
approximately a mile. The road turns to the right, follow it. Continue. The
road goes up a large hill, turning to the left. You are now going eastwards
again, and should be no more than a 1/4 mile from a new developement called
High Clover.

Continue past the developement, approximately 1/4 mile, and look very
carefully on your left for a gravel road heading down the hill. A small
green sign says 'Future Centennial Trail' and also 'Portage Wildlife
Area'. Head down this road, (go slowly!) and you're there.

I hope you will be able to come visit me in the near future.

Thank you,
