HiHo Tweets
Was up birding just east up the hill from Padilla Bay on a neat piece of
property. Saw a lot of usual suspects for this time of year, including
Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Dark-eyed Junco, Spotted Towhee, N. Flicker,
Hairy Woodpecker, Golden-crowned Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow and
Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Particularly interesting were a White-throated
Sparrow and a Northern Shrike (the shrike was first seen hovering, much
as a that done by a kestrel). First time I have seen this in a shrike -
anybody else seen this type activity?
