I had a short-eared Owl at Montlake Fill this afternoon at 3:20 pm. It was
flushed from just west of the main pond in the grassy field. It landed at
the shore of Lake Washington for about 10 minutes before flying over south
over Union Bay. I would presume this to be a migrant.
