We seem to be running smoothly again, so it's time to renew a standing
policy for birders who live outside the Seattle area and have sightings to
report to the BirdBox. WOS is a statewide organization, and the BirdBox is
meant to be a statewide service. Toll charges can be a hindrance to
phoning in your reports. For anyone who wants to avail themselves of the
offer, I will post your sightings to the BirdBox from an e-mail report.
Send your reports directly to me at <halop at accessone.com>, written verbatim
the way you want them read into the BirdBox. Your name is essential, and a
phone number is appreciated.
Please put in the subject line "Report for BirdBox." Otherwise, it may get
lost in all the tweeters mails. That subject line will stand out in my
inbox. Also, it would be helpful if you flagged your reports as highest
priority, if your mailer has that option. This indication will call
attention to it in my inbox as well.
We are regrouping for preparing transcriptions of BirdBox reports, or
summaries, and should have the first ones posted to tweeters in the next
couple of days.
