This morning produced a pair of Tropic Kingbirds and they're remaining in
the area hunting. I flushed a lone Western Meadowlark this morning as well.

We've had a sudden influx of Anna's hummingbirds lately. I wonder if these
could be migrants just arriving - as are the Monarch butterflies.

Speaking of butterflies, we're also innudated with a butterfly that looks
similiar to a Monarch but much smaller. It has the same coloration but the
upper part of the upper wings have black dots. I can't find them in any of
my books. Anybody have an idea?

Weather is hot (90f) and very clear.
