After reading Syd Robert's note of yesterday, I realized that he had posted
about banded geese before. I did a search of the hotline notes and
discovered that he had already ferreted out these black and white collared
geese way back in July. His first post follows:

Big lesson here: comprehend what you read before you file it. This mystery
would have been solved a lot sooner if I had actually twigged on Syd's
posting. Anyway, we know that these birds travel through Vanderhoof and
Kamloops now. Trajectory would suggest that they should be looked for around
Nakusp or somewhere else in the Kootenays before they disappear into Washington
State.
