And if you see Canadas with deep blue neck bands, white lettering, they
were probably banded in the Anchorage, AK area. I heard a story that
hunters in the Pacific NW were laying off of these thinking they were the
"rare" kind, but now they know better and are much more confident
shooting at these than any unbanded geese, because they can be
confident they are *not* the rare kind. (So much for hunters learning
their subspecies.)
