After years of morning walks at Magnuson, this morning, I (finally) got a
good look at the Short-eared Owl that hangs out at NOAA/Magnuson
Park (Seattle) over the winter. (Or maybe it's a different one every year.)

(I was so excited. We myopic birders are easy to please.)
