On the 10/18/97 Protection Island/Rat Island-Kilisut Harbor birding cruise
we observed the following species:

Brown Booby - one (1) brown booby, apparently a female, sitting on the
large rock on the shoreline midway along the south side of the island, just
east of the house on the cliff. There were still approx. 8 Brown Pelicans
on the eastern spit of the island. we spotted no deer
