Greetings Michael and fellow tweeters,

The Gyrfalcon we saw last Saturday at Crockett Lake was too far away to note
such details as eye ring or even leg color. When it flashed its legs at the
ducks, we unfortunately were still concentrating on identifying the species.
I originally wrote "brown phase" I believe. I should have been more cautious
and just have said "brown", so as not to create the impression we knew whether
it was an adult or immature.

Sorry for the confusion.
