Hi Tweeters--especially Hoquiam-area Tweeters

I read in Seattle's Sunday PI/Times a short blurb about the possible
steel plant locating next to Bowerman's Basin.

The article mentioned that members of the Audubon Club and at least one
other environmental group were meeting with the Powers-That-Be to discuss
environmental impact/mitigation. That meeting is supposed to happen this
week. Can someone out there in Hoquiam-Tweeter Land give us an update on
that meeting?

As an aside, the article noted that this steel company traditionally goes
into smaller towns to build these "mini-mills." They cited several other
locations around the country where the company has set up shop. I'd like
to know what environmental mitigation was required and successfully
completed. If anyone learns of anything, please post.

Thanks.
