Joyce Meyer and I just completed another monthly survey of the Medina birds.
We were out from 0800 to 1100 in light rain most of the time. We recorded
38 species. A Cooper's Hawk being chased by two crows was a first in our
surveys which started in Feb. Following are notes on a few sightings:

4 Bufflehead - 1st since May
11 Ring-necked Duck - 1st since April
40 Canada Geese - 4 were at pond in golf course so. of NE 24th St. - one had
about
a 4" long collar with "130R" in big letters.
9 Dark-eyed Junco- 1st since Mar.
10 Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1st since Mar.
3 Common Mergnaser - 1st since May
3 Band-tailed Pigeon - 1st since Mar.
1 Greater Scaup and 2 Lesser Scaup - both 1st since April
10 Yellow-rumped Warbler - 1st since May
1 Eurasian Wigeon - 1st since Mar.
3 Winter Wren - 1st since May
