Greetings--
Today (Monday) at 8:00 AM straight up I was walking down
town across the 4th Ave bridge when I saw distinctive
shape on top an electrical pole on the Sound side of the
bridge. I stopped on the down side where the light was
better and there I able to see the markings clearly on
a good size female adult peregrine falcon. It flew off
toward Capitol Lake. I reported this to my friend Jim
who allowed as how he had photgraphed a big female in
the West Bay area last fall on the Xmas bird count.
hmm-mmmmmm...perhaps we'll have resident bird who
returns each fall..a little early to start the naming
contest I think.. :)
