Subject: Different geese in Washington

+AD4-Here's a puzzler-- can someone suggest what these birds were:
+AD4-
+AD4-Yesterday a flight of geese(?) came over, in South Everett (near Puget
+AD4-Sound) heading south-southwest at dusk. They appeared to be geese, but the
+AD4-honks were more musical, quieter. I have only seen the Canadian geese
here,
+AD4-or snow geese in certain places, and a pair of different ones last weekend
+AD4-that were a more uniform brown about the head. This flight had more than a
+AD4-hundred birds in it, in a big bowing line, with only a few out of
formation.
+AD4-
+AD4-What were these, do you think?

Might have been a Ross' Goose, but more probably a sub-species of Canada.
