Hi Tweeters,

I'm a Calif birder who will be in Seattle for a talk Sat a.m. 9/12, and
then will have Sat aft and all day Sun (6 pm flight out of Sea-Tac) for
birding. I've a recommendation from an area birder that I could probably
best spend my time this time of year out on the coast, esp with El Nino
created opportunities. I don't have much of a chance for any life birds as
best I can see (Rock Sandpiper? Sky Lark? Black-leggged Kittiwake?) but
would in any event like to have some fun and get a start on a Washington
list. (I did stop over in Seattle very early in my birding career and
logged the notorious "Northwestern Crow," on what basis I cannot now
reconstruct.)

Anyway, I would be interested in any recommendations on how to allocate my
day and half of birding time, and/or would be delighted to hook up with
any of you who are doing some coastal birding in an organized or
unorganized way. Could even be talked out of the coastal thing if people
think some birding on the Sound or inland would be better.

I have ordered Wahl & Paulson and it is on the way but not yet here.

Any advice welcome.
