I walked the LHGB this morning as usual on a sunny morning and had some
interesting sightings.
3 Red-tailed Hawks - 1 near Phantom L. and 2 at Larsen L. - 1st time for more
than
one since June
1 Green Heron - probing in mud at Audubon Pond - only 2nd seen this year.
1 Common Snipe - also [robing mud at Audubon Pond - 1st since early May

Other recent sightings :
1 Pileated Woodpecker - seen regularly the past 4 weeks - 1st since Feb.
2 American Wigeon at Larsen L. - 1st since late April
1 Double-crested Cormorant at Phantom L. - 1st since early May
1 American Coot at Phantom L. - 1st since early May
1 or 2 Belted Kingfishers have been seen at both lakes the past 4 weeks
1 or 2 Warbling Vireos seen the past 3 weeks - 1st since May
