At the risk of sounding really ignorant, can someone help me understand
"neotropical migrants"? About all I know is that warblers are in this
category. Where do neotropical migrants migrate from/to -- where are the
"neotropics"?? If I look at a field guide with winter/summer maps, what
should I look for to define a neotropical migrant? What are some examples
of species that pass through Seattle in spring and fall, or that stop and
breed here in summer? Your assistance and patience are greatly
appreciated.
