We were at Sunrise on Friday, 9/5. The weather was terrible - low clouds,
40 degrees. We didn't even hike. We did see a large (300?) flock of Pine
Siskin, 1 Blue Grouse, 7 Gray Jays, 1 Clark's Nutcracker, 1 Savannah
Sparrow, and 2 immature Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch (no rosy color, brown,
chunky). The GCRF were right in front of the visitor's center. Could
these have been your "unidentified finches"?
