thanks for the reminder about cats..

As I recall from the *Dreaded Cat Thread*, which I started
BTW, there were several posts with references to studies
conducted on cat predation..the figures were awesome..
some listmembers got upset and threatened to leave the
list...were cajoled by others etc etc...the upshot,
unfortunately, is business as usual for lap kitty..
so, I think it's appropirate the the cold water of
reality get splashed on this subject--REGULARLY..
cats are relentless and they have a way of filling in
a void when one appears...I don't advocate killing
cats to prevent them from getting birds, but I once
had a person, who lives locally in a rural area, tell me
he shoots one or so a week..works for him, I guess.
a real incentive for cat owners to keep
tabby inside...
