One thing about being land surveyors, Clarice and I get to spend
a bit of work time in the woods. Just finished surveying a very
brushy five acre tract in the hills above the Soldiers Home in
Orting, with a good view out over the Puyallup River in the Electron
area. Very distracting warbler area-- hard to concentrate on angles
and distances. One distraction for Clarice brought winter back in to
mind-- while waiting for me to brushwack up the hill she had a
visiting fox sparrow. Is summer really over?
