a California Jay is a loud, raucous species that originates outside of the
Pacific Northwest. It often drives indigenous species from available
habitat because of its history of inflated salaries. The slalaries,
however, are often less inflated that the vision of self-importance. This
species is one of the few that has actually been the object of bumper
stickers: "Don't Californicate Idaho/Oregon/Washington"
