Hey tweeters-

Two Hudsonian Godwits were at the mudflats in Blaine today. At high tide
they were resting with dowitchers and ducks across from the first covered
picnic area. The birds shuffle around a bit, and with patience you should
see the birds' tail and upperwing patterns. Only had the opportunity to
see the dark underwing linings on one of the individuals while I was there.
By the way, for lack of a more thorough description, there was an unusual
Green-winged-type Teal with a very buff-orange head hanging out nearby, if
anyone gets a photo of or has an opinion on the identity of this bird
please let me know.
