Hi Jason -

I will be on the same trip on the 10th (and 11th).

You say this is your first pelagic trip ... do you have a real reason to
think that "sea sickness may be a problem"? The reason I ask is that I
think much of the problem with sea sickness is mental ... that is, having a
positive mental attitude that you will NOT get sick. I personally think
that people who fret over the prospect of getting sick create a
self-fulfilling prophesy.

Having said that, I also suspect that there are some genetics involved, and
some people may be disposed to a lower motion sickness threshold.

The drugs do have side effects (dry mouth, etc.).

So, one suggestion is to give it a shot without any drugs. Have a positive
mental attitude and follow the standard rules ... keep food in your
stomach, don't go in the cabin, stay amidships, etc.

My $.02 worth.
