I wouldn't try it without anything. The best that is available now seems to
be the wrist bands. I tried them on a whale-watching trip in Nova Scotia
and on the plane both directions and didn't have any problems at all. I
usually get a little queezy even on the big planes. There is nothing as
hopeless as seasickness. But it is avoidable. I say wear the wrist bands,
stay outside away from the engine, look at the horizon and enjoy the birds.
A pelagic trip is a great experience. You might even experiment with
Dramamine on a day that you don't have much going on to see how it affects
you. Many people use it very successfully.
