Hi!

Volume #1 of the Audubon Society's Video Guide to Birds of North America
shows the Trumpeter Swan. (with call) This is part of a rather expensive 5
volume set but would be wonderful to show to a 3rd grade class.

The video shows "live" pictures of the birds in action with seasonal maps
and a _brief_ commentary. For example, for the Trumpeter Swan, it says that
by 1933, there was only 66 birds left that hadn't been made into a powder
puffs or hat decorations! Now due to protection, there is two large flocks,
one that migrates from Alaska and a sedentary one that stays in parks like
Yellowstone NP.

Pretty simple stuff but I think 3rd graders would enjoy seeing the video.
