Unfortunately, everyone seems to have their own thing that works best for them. I tried scopalamine patches, the ear patch, except it was mildly hallucinatory and made it difficult for me to sleep the night before (you're supposed to put it on in advance). the lack of sleep contributed a great deal more to my seasickness than anything else. My best advice is to skip the drugs, get lots of sleep the night before, eat a good dinner but nothing that;s likely to be a problem if you get seasick, and take solid, noncontroversial food with you on the boat, like Saltine crackers, and lots of water. Look at the horizon, stay in the fresh air, and that may work best. - Teresa
