A visiting birder found a BLACK SWIFT Sept 18 about 6 pm. It was along the
Columbia River, about 2 miles east of McNary Dam. (Umatilla Oregon). It
was semi-associated with Barn Swallows and of course did not stay long.
There are only a handfull of Black Swift sightings for Umatilla County, of
which I have none!

I did see 40 SANDHILL CRANES on the other side of Umatilla about the time
of the swift sighting.
(I don't want to publish the Birder's name until I get permission.)

Good Birding!
