I birded White Pass in Lewis-Yakima Co. on the 18th and observed 4
White-winged Crossbills and 1 N.

W.Grebes, and at the west end of Wenas Lk. 2 Pectoral Sandpipers, 4

Phalarope, and several Lesser
Yellowlegs and Long-billed Dowitchers were noted. A quick walk through the
Washtucna park in Adams
Co. produced 10 Barn Owls, 1 Long-eared Owl, 2 O.S. Flycatchers, and 1
Golden-crowned and Fox Sparrow and Winter Wren. 1 Moutain Bluebird was
observed along S.R. 260 east of Kahlotus Lk.

and 1 lingering C.Nighthawk were at Folsom Lk. along S.R. 23 west of Ewan.
A walk through Sacaja-

Sabine's Gull, 12 Black-

water pelagic trip out of

highlight was probably
1 migrant Short-eared Owl. Later that day I birded Bowerman Basin where I
observed 1 Snow Goose
10 Lapland Longspurs, 1 Merlin, 1 Peregrine Falcon, and 1 Eared Grebe and

non-breeding plumage was noted
late on the 20th at the same location near Satsop in Grays Harbor Co. I
also observed 3 Am. Bitterns
in the general vicinity. On the 21st my mother and I birded the Centralia

name a few of the species. We also observed the Cattle Egret again near
