We live in NE Thurston County, out away from the "late-successional
residential" areas that Anna's seem to prefer here in the northwest. This
time of year is the *only* time we've seen Anna's at our place. They often
show up in late August, and are gone by November. (Not a one this year, so
far.) We've had as many as four immatures in the yard at once, never an
adult. We leave the feeders up in the hope of getting one to settle in for
the winter and maybe establish a territory in the spring, but no luck so far.
