To my surprise, I learned today from the Snohomish County Parks
Department that dogs on the leash are allowed at all times of the year
on the north end of the island - the part that belongs to the WA Dept of
Fish and Wildlife. There used to be a dogs only during hunting season
rule, but Fish and Wildlife did not want to have to enforce that rule,
so they changed it. If you think that dogs should be allowed on the
island only during the hunting season, please write to the Washington
Department of Fish and Wildlife.
