Really nice birding today, with a total of 43 species!

We added one species to the Marymoor list, with about 30 AMERICAN PIPIT on the
grass soccer fields, and four on the ballfield closest to the model airplane
park.

Other notables include:
Wood Duck One male
Northern Shoveler First of the fall
Osprey Seldom at the park
Common Snipe One or two
Golden-crowned Kinglet First of the fall
Brewer's Blackbird Second sighting ever at the park

While we were watching the pipits, a young Cooper's Hawk swooped right over
our heads aiming at a pipit in the grassy edge between two fields. It missed,
and was immediately chased off by a Northern Harrier who seemed to consider
the fields to be its own private grounds.
