The "lower elevation" comment on black-capped does make
some sense only in that black-capped only occurs at low
elevations (up to about 1500 feet) and the chestnut-backed
occurs from sealevel up to upper treeline at over 5000 feet.

Hey Gerald,

what does this "lower elevation" comment mean? I live at
about 100', and I
have both chestnut-backed and black-capped chickadees in
my yard.
