The highlights of the Protection Island Cruise for 4/4/98 were a solitary
Canada Goose on the south side of Protection Island and a solitary immature
Brown Pelican sitting on the buoy just outside of Point
Hudson Marina. There were also about a kazillion white wing and surf
scoters, probably in response to the recent herring spawn in the area, and
approx 10 immature Bald Eagles on Protection Island
