For information on field trips or other Audubon issues
call the Audubon office at 206 523-4483 from 10 to 4 Monday-Saturday.

For the most recent bird news call the Washington Ornithological
Society's BirdBox at 425 454-2662.

The GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE remains at the Montlake Fill in Seattle
in the company of a roving band of Canada Geese. It has been present
through at least the 5th. Two VIRGINIA RAILS and a GREATER YELLOWLEGS
were also noted at the Fill on the 5th.

A GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE was found in the vicinity of the Skagit Game Range
Headquarters boat launch parking lot on the 5th. This is the same area
where this species was found last winter. Can only assume it is the
same bird. Also in the area was an AMERICAN TREE SPARROW.

A LESSER YELLOWLEGS was at Penn Cove on Whidbey Island on the 5th, and a
GLAUCOUS GULL was at Cultus Bay the same day.

A ROCK SANDPIPER was seen on rocks with a flock of BLACK TURNSTONES at
mile marker 3.9 on State Route 112 in Clallam County on the 4th.

The female TUFTED DUCK at the Green Road pond off Cook Road north of
Sedro Wooley was seen again on the 4th.
