PLEASE RESPOND DIRECTLY TO CAROLYN, NOT TO ME

Could anyone give me some tips on good birding sites in the Ellensburg,
Mattawa area during the second week of May? I will be with non-birders
and I'm one of the halt and lame, so the sites need to be drive-by ones.

I've sent away for information on the Columbia Wildlife Refuge system and
we hope to get up in the area of the Potholes too.

As well I would like any suggestions on a good handbook for birding
Washington in general.
