Hello Tweeters:

I once more spotted a bald eagle and a belted kingfisher at the Riberbend Golf
Course in Kent.

The bald eagle was in a tree on the bank of the Green, about 3 or 400 yards
north of the golf course bridge over the river, on the west side. I have
walked/biked the Green River Trail, and other trails in the area for 3 or 4
years and have not seen eagles until this past month. I watched this one for
about 10 minutes directly across the river from it, and although it was facing
away from me, each time I put the binocs on it, it turned its head in my
direction.

Saw the female belted kingfisher in the same relative position as it was on
Monday, just above the water on a branch, about 50 yards north of the bridge.
Took the binocs off of it for a moment and when I returned to that spot she
was gone. I didn't see her fly, so either there is a nest close by or she
went into the bushes. The brush on the bank is leaving out, making it more
difficult to see the birds. The male kingfisher was no where to be seen.
