On Thursday, April 9, 1998, around 1600 PDT, I made a quick visit to
Mann's Lake. There were a bunch of anglers on the lake so the birding
wasn't very good. Surprisingly, there were no Mallards or American Coots!
It was partly cloudy, winds calm, about 50 degrees:

Canada Geese about 20
Northern Shovelers About 50
American Wigeon About 20
Canvasback 4
Redheads 4
Ring-necked Ducks about 10
Ruddy Duck 1 Male in beautiful breeding plumage.
Northern Harrier 1 Male in breeding plumage.
Killdeer 1
Ring-billed Gull 1
