Hi All,

After being coerced by my birding buddy, Jim Lawrence, to ignore the cold
wind and rain; the morning's birding survey proved to be quite interesting.
We spotted the first OSPREY of the season and I saw my first PIED-BILLED
GREBE of the year (Jim had seen them for about 2 weeks). The number of
HOODED MERGANSERS is up to 7. The GREEN-WINGED TEAL are also increasing in
numbers (21).

When I returned home for lunch, we had a parade of birds going over head:
first a BALD EAGLE, followed by a flock of 25 gull (sp.), and the a NORTHERN
GOSHAWK. At the feeders at the same time were a pair of CASSIN'S FINCH and a
pair of AMERICAN GOLDFINCH.
