I live between Pine Lake and Beaver Lake also at 500 ft. elevation on the
Issaquah/Pine Lake Plateau and regularly have Purple Finches (and sometimes
House Finches) on my feeders. I see Robins every time I drive out my long
driveway. Maybe it's habitat? I have 2 acres, no lawn and am surrounded by
woods. Most of my yard is natural. I have resident Pileated, Hairy and a few
Downy Woodpeckers plus a Flicker who presently is drumming daily on my metal
woodstove cap! He certainly gets my attention! Hope he finds a mate soon!
