I long ago moved from the East Coast (the South, actually) to the West --
and am glad I did. Very glad.

But yesterday I was struck by powerful emotions while watching the Masters
golf tournament in Augusta, GA. Did you hear the Cardinals, Carolina
Wrens, Mourning Doves, Mockingbirds, Blue Jays, and others calling while the
silly humans, oblivious, watched the little golf ball?

Early spring in the Deep South. I had forgotten the only good part.
